Ok things are going better today and yesterday. I think perhaps beginning the Italian classes has given me some more confidence and hope that I CAN in fact learn this! I am not going to lie... I feel very ignorant most days around here because they dont speak much English and it stresses me out however who am I to come here and expect my language. Which i dont but without any formal training in the language its difficult. I dont really understand how America can claim to be the best when we are too ignorant and selfish to start our shildren in languages while they are young so it becomes natural. If we are one world we should really make at least a half assed attempt... Perhaps? Maybe not but it seems odd to me.
